We are getting really close to the launch of our new city website. We have an online exercise for your input, the exercise is called “Treejacking”.  This survey will help us know “the where” and ” the why”  people get lost in navigating on the website.

Here is the link to the survey.

Our goal is to provide the best online experience for our residents and make it easy for everyone to find the information they need online.

Thank you for taking part in the exercise.

The website steering committee has been busy working on the all new home page for the City of Grand Forks and it’s time to send it out for your opinion.

Today, Mayor Brown will also be releasing the first look to that page at the State of the City Speech luncheon at The Alerus Center at noon.

This is still a working draft and we are continuing to tweak to make this your page that will get you the answers to questions that you have for the City.

Please take a moment to tell us what you think of the new design.

Public Input for Website – Blog & “Card Sorting” Exercise

City Logo Web

The City of Grand Forks is in the process of developing a new city website, with an anticipated launch in spring 2014.  Part of that process is gathering important information from you, the user as we enhance our usability experience (Ux).

The city would like to ask the public to participate in a “Card Sorting” online exercise.  This exercise will give users a list of webpages that are on the city website.  The exercise is to group these webpages into groups.  This information will be gathered and used to help determine the most logical navigation on the new city website.

In addition the City of Grand Forks has created this blog for the purpose of following the website development process.  This blog will also give residents an opportunity to give feedback on the new website.

We appreciate your participation in the exercise and for visiting the blog and thank you for providing this valuable feedback for this new website.
